LUIS RAMOS
Name: Luis Ramos

Record: 16-0, 8 KO

Division: Lightweight: 135 lbs

Luis Ramos, of Frank Espinoza’s “Espinoza Boxing Club”, is already looked upon as one of the hottest young prospects in boxing.  After a decorated amateur career spanning more than 100 fights and 6 national championships, Ramos turned to the professional ranks in late 2007.  Having already built an impressive record of 16 wins, 8 coming by way of knockout, Ramos’ following in the Southern California area is impressive, to say the least.  Ramos is never in a dull fight, and fights with a crowd-pleasing style.  Keep an eye on Ramos in the near future, as his next scheduled bout is set to be televised on Telefutura on September 17, 2010, from Los Angeles, California.

SHOBOX WEIGH-IN FEATURING MIKE JONES

On Friday night, the unbeaten Mike Jones (21-0, 17 KOs) will take on Irving Garcia in the main event of ShoBox: The New Generation, on Showtime from the ballroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The final weigh-in for the bout will take place on Thursday afternoon at the Atrium in Bally's Hotel & Casino and will be open to the public. Fans are encouraged to attend and it will get started at 5 pm.

"I've had a tremendous camp and I'm in great shape–I'm ready," said Jones. "As each fight goes by, I get in better and better shape. I take nobody for granted. When it's time to shine, I'm gonna shine."

"I've worked very hard to come into this fight in my best physical condition. This is a difficult fight but not an impossible one to win," said Garcia.

Antwone Smith and Lanardo Tyner will also be on hand as they're also set to rumble in the event's co-featured bout.
